To provide additional locations for free COVID-19 testing in Sacramento County communities, the Sacramento County Department of Health Services has partnered with UC Davis Health, StemExpress and local community agencies at four new sites.
Beginning the week of Aug. 3, three new Community-Based Testing Sites will provide COVID-19 testing by appointment:

All locations are by appointment for Sacramento County residents and testing is available regardless of U.S. citizenship or legal residency status for anyone 2 years and older (minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian).
For scheduled appointments, the public will need to bring any form of identification with their date of birth to check-in. At all testing sites, face masks/coverings must be worn (some masks may be available); and physical distancing must be maintained with other members of the public.
Testing supplies and lab services at the Community-Based Testing Sites are provided by
StemExpress. Test results will be available within three days of testing. StemExpress will send notification of results via text or e-mail.
Community-Based Site testing is NOT for:
- Travel clearance
- Surgery clearance (Contact your health care provider)
- People with severe fever, cough, or other symptoms. (Contact your health care provider)
- People that have tested positive for COVID-19 within 10 days of the testing date

Pop-Up COVID-19 Testing Sites
Sacramento County Public Health has partnered with California National Guard and Sacramento Public Library Authority to offer pop-up COVID-19 testing sites every 1-3 days at rotating Sacramento County public library locations. No appointments needed, but testing will be first come first served for those 18 years old and older with valid ID and contact information for test results. The exact times and locations will be announced the evening prior.
