On Thursday, June 15, the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors appointed Christina Wynn as Interim Assessor, effective June 25, 2017. The appointment term will be in effect through the June 2018 election for the Assessor and will hold the office until Monday, January 7, 2019.
The appointment will complete the remaining term of Assessor Kathleen Kelleher, who retired May 13.
“Ms. Christina Wynn was selected from among three outstanding candidates. Christina’s experience and qualifications were key factors in the Board’s decision to appoint her,” said Board Chairman Don Nottoli. “Ms. Wynn is to be congratulated. I’m confident she will work diligently to uphold the values, mission and responsibility of the Office of the Assessor.”
All three Interim Assessor candidates were interviewed in open session at the June 15 Board meeting, per California Government Code which provides that any Board actions in appointing the Assessor position include conducting of interviews and making the appointment in open session.
Ms. Wynn has 16 years of experience with the Sacramento County Assessor’s Office as a Real Property Appraiser I/II, Associate Real Property Appraiser, Senior Real Property Appraiser, Chief Appraiser, Assistant Assessor, and Acting Assessor. Previously, she worked for CB Richard Ellis and the Placer County Assessor’s Office. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural and Managerial Economics from the University of California, Davis.
