The
Sacramento County Bradshaw Animal Shelter’s non-profit partner,
TEAM (Teaching Everyone Animals Matter), is partnering up with the Historic Folsom District for the Spirits, Brews & Bites benefit on Sunday, Oct. 27, from 2 - 5 p.m., at 915 Sutter Street, Folsom, CA 95630. The fundraiser benefits the shelter’s animals, including treatment for special medical needs for animals, medications, medical equipment, activities that improve the comfort of the shelter animals, volunteer activities and more.
Event participants will stroll from store to store on and around Sutter Street for beer, spirits, cider and food samples, all provided by local restaurants, breweries, cideries and distilleries. All tastings will be hosted inside Historic District shops. While the street and stores are open to the public, tickets are needed for tastings. Participants can enjoy live music on each block as they walk between tasting stops. Halloween costumes are encouraged and there will be adoptable dogs from the Bradshaw Animal Shelter to meet – please leave your pets at home.
“The Bradshaw Shelter appreciates TEAM and their commitment to the shelter animals,” said Dave Dickinson, Director, Sacramento County Bradshaw Animal Shelter. “Without the fundraising efforts at these types of events, we would not be able to provide some of the emergency medical care and specialty surgeries some of our injured stray animals need prior to placing them into forever homes. The Folsom event is a perfect opportunity for animal lovers to stroll Historic Sutter Street and enjoy food and drinks and help the shelter animals by making donations at our information booth. We are looking forward to a great crowd of animal lovers at this event; there should be something fun for everyone.”
Tickets are available for
purchase online and participants must be 21 and older to attend. Tickets are $35 for individuals and a pack of four tickets can be purchased for $100. A limited number of tickets will be available at the event for $40, cash only, so purchase your tickets in advance. For more information,
