The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an unidentified man.
On Jan. 9, 2021, skeletonized remains were found in a homeless encampment located down the embankment near the eastbound Highway 80 approximately 20 yards west of the Riverside Ave/Auburn Blvd exit.
The encampment was thoroughly searched and no identification was discovered. The remains were examined by a forensic anthropologist who concluded the decedent was a Caucasian male between 40-65 years old. He was approximately 5’9” to 6’4” tall, and had likely died four months to one year prior to discovery. The cause and manner of death are undetermined.
