Sacramento County’s
Bradshaw Animal Shelter is participating in
Clear the Shelters – a series of adoption events and adoption fee specials to alleviate the high impact of their animal intake between Monday, Aug. 23, 2021, and Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021.
On Aug. 28, the shelter hosted a successful adoption event, which they named Kitty Palooza, and offered limited walk-in adoptions on a first-come, first-serve basis. During the event, more than 40 cats and kittens found loving forever homes. This was the first time the event was held since the pandemic forced closure and limited walk-in services in 2020.
In addition to the adoption event, the shelter is offering sponsored adoptions through an anonymous donor and the shelter’s non-profit affiliate TEAM Bradshaw from Aug. 31, - Sept. 19, 2021. Potential adopters can view available shelter and foster pets online by
visiting the shelter’s website.
Adoptions include spay or neuter surgery, vaccines, a lifetime microchip registration, and one-year licensing (for county residents).
