The Sacramento County Board of Supervisors will hold its first public hearing about redistricting at 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 8.
The meeting will be
live streamed and, for the first time since indoor gatherings were prohibited by County and state public health orders, open to public attendance pursuant to guidelines related to social distancing and minimizing person-to-person contact.
A facemask and social distancing are required while inside the County Administration Building and Board Chambers. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Board and the public will receive information regarding the
Sacramento County 2021 Redistricting Process, a timeline and an overview of the mapping tools available to the public for drawing proposed district boundaries. After the presentation, the public is invited to provide comments, either in-person or on the phone, about communities of interest and mapping priorities.
The June 8 hearing will be the first of many public hearings to provide information and receive input from the public.
Visit the Redistricting Meetings webpage for information about upcoming virtual and district workshops this summer, where the public can receive information about redistricting, view a mapping tools demo, and provide comment about their communities of interest and mapping priorities.
