The webinar will focus on the
SBA’s new Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF) in advance of the program’s launch. RRF is a $28.6 billion program that provides funding for restaurants to meet payroll, purchase supplies and transition to today’s COVID-restricted marketplace. Eligible entities are businesses that are not permanently closed and include businesses where the public or patrons assemble for the primary purpose of being served food or drink.
Attendees will learn about the following RRF program elements:
- Eligible business types
- Allowed funding uses
- How to calculate one’s potential fund amount
- How and when to apply (process, documentation needed and how to obtain help with the application)
- Priority groups (For the first 21 days that the program is open, the SBA will review applications from small businesses owned by women, veterans and socially and economically disadvantaged individuals. Following the 21-day period, all eligible business may submit applications)
The official application launch date will be announced at a later date. Sacramento County is advising business owners to start gathering their paperwork early so that they are ready for the application launch. Those who cannot attend the live event can view the webinar at a later date on the
Economic Development website.
Speakers at the webinar will include:
- Troy Givans, Director of Sacramento County’s Office of Economic Development
- Carrie Ellinwood, Deputy District Director of SBA’s Sacramento District Office, will be speaking about RRF program elements
- Marie Woodin, Director of Sacramento County’s EMD, will be speaking about health permit fees and payment plans
- Dr. Kasirye, Sacramento County’s Public Health Officer, will be speaking about vaccinations for restaurant workers
