The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the County’s third heat-related death in 2024.
Stephanie Baker, a 53-year-old female resident of Citrus Heights, died of heat stroke on Aug. 4, 2024, at Mercy San Juan. Ms. Baker was housed at the time of her death.
Because the decedent was hospitalized, the Coroner’s office did not conduct an examination of the decedent. As a result, there are no available reports from the Coroner’s Office.
