Customers of Sacramento International Airport may experience traffic delays on Wednesday and Thursday, November 5-6, when airport crews repave Airport Boulevard, the main road into the airport.
Road work began at 7 a.m. on Wednesday on the south end of Airport Boulevard by the I-5 interchange and will continue until late in the evening on Thursday.
The project, which was rescheduled from last week, will cause single lanes of Airport Boulevard to be closed periodically. Traffic control measures will be in place and customers are advised to give themselves an extra 10-15 minutes to arrive, SLOW DOWN on approach to the airport exit on I-5, and watch for traffic control measures.
A smaller portion of Airport Boulevard will be under construction on Monday, November 10, where the roadway splits, but it is not expected to significantly impact traffic.
