The Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office, Sheriff’s Department and Probation, along with the Sacramento Police Department, are seeking recruits for the 18th annual Citizens Academy. The 10-week course is free and open to the public.
The academy was created to improve communication, foster a better understanding and develop relationships between members of the criminal justice system and citizens. The program provides an overview of the criminal justice system and engages citizens in discussions about issues within the system. The deadline to submit applications is March 10.
