The Sacramento County Office of Emergency Services is advising the residents of Point Pleasant to evacuate. Flooding is expected in some areas over the next 24 hours.
The recommended evacuation route is to head east on Point Pleasant Road and north on Bruceville Road toward high ground. An evacuation center has been identified as Pleasant Grove High School, 9531 Bond Rd., Elk Grove, 95624. Lambert Road at Snodgrass Slough and east of Franklin Blvd. is expected to be impassable.
The National Weather Service California Nevada River Forecast Center is forecasting that Benson’s Ferry will continue to rise until February 11 at 7 PM to elevation 19.6 ft.
