Water conservation is a high priority for the Sacramento County organization. Because drought conditions are ongoing, we will continue to increase efforts to conserve water and encourage you to do the same.
Sacramento County has been working steadily to reduce the amount of water used in our operations, from reducing landscape irrigation, to installing low-use plumbing fixtures, and to reducing watering of our parks. We will continue to conserve and manage water through innovative measures and program adjustments.
The Governor issued an executive order mandating a 25 percent statewide water use reduction and we are committed to doing our part to achieve this reduction.
You too can help save water in and around your home, business and yard. Learn how you can save water, create water efficient landscape, and more about the state mandates by visiting our Every Drop Counts web page.
