Over the Holiday, Visit Our Beautiful Regional ParksSacramento County’s Regional Parks are popular for outdoor fun over the holiday weekend. The extra visitors are welcome, but they increase maintenance and patrol costs for the Parks system. To offset the costs from September 5 through September 7, the vehicle entrance fee will increase to $8 for single vehicles and $13 for oversized vehicles and vehicles towing watercraft. This fee increase does not affect Annual Parks Pass holders. Now is a great time to purchase an
Annual Parks Pass.
Parks visitors are encouraged to learn the rules and regulations for enjoying a safe holiday weekend. Children under 13 must wear a life preserver at all times in public waterways in the County. In addition, rivers can be dangerous for even strong swimmers. Everyone should wear a life in the river, whether they are fishing, boating, swimming, floating or just wading. There are also several rules related to smoking, BBQs and open flames.
Go to the Regional Parks website for additional information.
