Each year, the County participates in the Recovery Happens Rally at the State Capital, where thousands gather to increase awareness and understanding of mental health and substance use disorders and to celebrate recovery. The event this year will be virtual but typically has included a recovery walk, pancake breakfast and provider fair. The
Recovery Month event is organized by the California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals (CCAPP).
This year the 28th Annual Recovery Happens is being held as a virtual live online event on Wednesday, Sep. 2, 2020, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and will include keynote speakers. To participate in the online event, register online for free.
