“It’s important to remember that this is a recommended, preliminary spending plan; I’ll bring the Final Budget to the Board in September for approval,” said County Executive Bradley J. Hudson. “For the first time in many years, this spending plan funds the current staffing and program needs for all General Fund departments and includes new investments in several key policy areas including mental health, child protection, homeless services, public safety, African American child death reduction, health services for undocumented residents, parks, animal care and community improvement.”
