Sacramento County’s Bradshaw Animal Shelter is partnering with non-profit affiliate
Teaching Everyone Animals Matter (TEAM) for their annual Home for the Holidays event. TEAM is sponsoring adoption fees for the first 40 dog and the first 40 cats adopted during the month of December, along with an anonymous donor who has generously sponsored adoptions for 20 large breed dogs. Hundreds of donated holiday stockings filled with toys and treats are also available for pets adopted during the month of December (one stocking per adopted pet).
The animal shelter will also host several walk-in adoption events during the month of December to help as many pets find their forever homes.
Walk-in adoption events will be located at the Bradshaw Animal Shelter, 3839 Bradshaw Road, Sacramento, CA 95827 between noon and 4 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday before Christmas. No appointment is necessary, adoptions are first-come, first-serve, and masks are required.

Before arriving to the event, potential adopters should have a list of three pets they are interested in visiting along with the animal ID numbers. Available pets and animal ID numbers can be found online through
the shelter’s website. Additionally, adopters can print and fill out an adoption form for
dogs and
cats to expedite the adoption process.
There are hundreds of pets in need of loving homes. If you can’t make it to the adoption events, you can schedule an adoption appointment Tuesday through Sunday over the phone at 916-875-2287. The adoption line is open 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. for appointment scheduling. To view all available pets,

Another way to help shelter pets in need this holiday season is to donate towards medical expenses and supplies. Learn how you can help by
