The Department of Water Resources (DWR) is pleased to announce that 2023-2024 Watershed Stewardship and Education Grants are now available! DWR offers grants to support school or community projects that protect, restore or enhance local creeks and rivers within the unincorporated areas of Sacramento County. Eligible recipients can receive up to $2,500 for their project.
DWR has awarded grant projects for more than 20 years including trash clean-up events, nature-friendly landscapes, field trips to learn about Sacramento's watershed, water quality studies, and the development of outreach materials that educate the community about pollution prevention.
To take part in this incredible opportunity, make sure to submit your application by October 16, 2023. The grant application process is simple so that applicants can submit their project proposals with ease.
