The Sacramento County Department of Transportation is alerting motorists that overnight ramp closures are scheduled for the Watt Avenue @ U.S. 50 Interchange Project due to ongoing construction work. The southbound Watt Avenue on-ramp to eastbound US-50 the ramp will be closed from Friday, July 19 at 11 p.m. until 8 a.m. on Sunday, July 21. The eastbound US-50 off-ramp to south and northbound Watt Avenue ramp closures will begin 11 p.m. on Friday, July 19 to 6 a.m. on Saturday, July 20 and continue on Saturday, July 20 from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. on Sunday, July 21.
The Watt Avenue at U.S. Highway 50 interchange project will modify the existing interchange to reduce congestion, install dedicated transit facilities, and improve access and safety for bicyclists and pedestrians. Project work during the closure period includes paving for the new southbound Watt Avenue on-ramp to eastbound U.S. 50.
