The Sacramento region will come together once again to grow local philanthropy at the annual 24-hour Big Day of Giving online event, Thursday, May 4.
From midnight to midnight on May 4, the Sacramento region will have the opportunity to support any of the 600 local nonprofits participating in the Big Day of Giving. Online donations can be made at www.bigdayofgiving.org. This year’s goal is to exceed last year’s total of $7.1 million.
New for 2017 is a reduced minimum donation of $15 (rather than $25) to make philanthropy even more accessible. Donors can also conveniently schedule their Big Day of Giving gifts before May 4 at
www.bigdayofgiving.org.
A program of the Sacramento Region Community Foundation since 2013, the Big Day of Giving has raised more than $16 million for hundreds of local nonprofits.
Big Day of Giving events are happening offline too—there are several celebrations throughout Sacramento County sponsored by participating organizations. Visit the
Big Day of Giving events website.
