The Sheriff’s Department is holding a community event titled, “Unity in The Community” on Sunday, August 16 at Rutter Park in Sacramento. This free barbeque will run from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Families are welcome to meet Sheriff Scott Jones and other Sheriff’s Department personnel.
“Building bonds with residents and educating the community on crime prevention is a great benefit to both residents and law enforcement Community,” stated Sheriff Scott Jones. “The event helps us connect face-to-face with the County citizens and allows us to display a fun side of the Sheriff’s Department.”
This event is centered on family friendly activities with bounce houses, finger printing, crime prevention, free raffles and a showcase of the Sheriff’s Department helicopter.
“Unity in the Community” also features demonstrations by the Sheriff’s K9 Unit, Air Operation, SWAT Team and Bomb Squad.
