Want to play golf, but don’t have a lot of time? Sacramento County’s Cherry Island and Ancil Hoffman championship golf courses are the newest members of
Quick.golf – a pay-by-hole web technology. This technology pairs golfers who don’t have enough time to play a full round with golf courses that offer pay-by-hole. Just open Quick.golf on any smartphone or computer browser to get playing golf for as little or as much as time allows, and only pay for the holes played.
Greg Bliek, Superintendent of Golf for Sacramento County, said, “We talked with golf course architect Damian Pascuzzo, of Pascuzzo/Pate Golf Design, about reconfiguring our courses to allow people to play shorter loops. Damian suggested we look at Quick.golf instead – a way to let golfers play and pay by the hole without the expense of redesigning our courses.”
Sacramento County owns and manages Ancil Hoffman and Cherry Island golf courses and are operated by Empire Golf Management. Ancil Hoffman Golf Course, located next to the American River in Carmichael, is a nationally ranked 18-hole championship golf course and is par 72 for men and par 73 for women. Cherry Island Golf Course is also an 18-hole championship golf course located in Elverta, with par 72 for both men and women.
Rod Metzler, CEO of Empire Golf said, “We’re excited to work with the County and Quick.golf to give golfers a new way to play and enjoy this great game in a way that removes “lack of time” from the decision factor of whether to play or not.”
“Sacramento is a great golf market,” said Quick.golf co-founder Harvey Silverman. “We look forward to working with staff to make Quick.golf a successful alternative. Sacramento County golfers will now have the ability to play and pay by the hole.”
