The California State Fair presents a family-friendly event for all ages to enjoy July 14-30! The 17 day event features entertainment, sports, music and performances, carnival rides and fair food - overwhelmingly the deep-fried variety. The State Fair is at Cal Expo and open Monday - Thursday from 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. and Friday- Sunday from 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. On the last day, July 30, gates will close at 8 p.m.
There are a number of special events going on during the fair this year. Including but not limited to:
- $2 Taste of the Fair on Wednesdays and Thursdays (11 a.m. – 4 p.m.)
- $2 Rides for all & Kids Free Tuesdays
- July 22: Brewfest
- July 29: Cornhole tournament
You can also enjoy concerts, horse racing, professional soccer and freestyle motocross.
The Golden 1 Stage will be rocking nightly with appearances by Sheila E., Smash Mouth and Melissa Etheridge, to name a few. The Toyota Concert Series on the Golden 1 Stage web page lists the full lineup and ticket information.
