Emergency Preparedness Resources
Sacramento County Provides Mutual Aid
Not only does Sacramento County want you to be prepared for emergencies and get emergency alerts, the County is helping our Northern California neighbors impacted by the wildfires. Currently, Sacramento County Animal Control Officers and equipment, and staff from Emergency Services and Sacramento Medical Reserve Corp have been deployed to Napa and Santa Rosa, as well as strike teams and staff sent from Fire Departments and law enforcement officers from our operational area. When Solano County social workers were evacuated from their county building and were unable to update their cases in the state’s Child Welfare Case Management System, Sacramento County IT staff worked with Child Protective Services staff to set up computer terminals in Sacramento County offices so that care and services for these children wouldn’t be additionally impacted. Sacramento County will continue to provide these areas hardest hit with mutual aid.
