The Sacramento County Board of Supervisors at its meeting today, in a unanimous vote, proclaimed a local state of emergency for Sacramento County. The proclamation comes in the wake of the recent storms that caused widespread flooding, power outages, levee breaches and overtoppings and more.
The proclamation will authorize the County to utilize additional services to help mitigate extensive damage caused by the storms. The County is in the process of damage assessments.
