The seventh annual Big Day of Giving is right around the corner, and Sacramento area residents are encouraged to come together for the 24-hour online giving challenge. Big Day of Giving, led by the
Sacramento Region Community Foundation and its affiliates and supported by many partner organizations both region-wide and nationally, kicks off on May 2.
Nonprofits are a large economic engine that offer opportunities for giving, volunteerism and community involvement. Big Day of Giving is a chance for residents in the greater Sacramento region to donate to local charitable organizations that enhance the community life and make our region a better place.
The event kicks off at midnight on May 2 and is open to the public; anyone who wishes to participate can make a secure donation by debit or credit card on the
Big Day of Giving website.
Big Day of Giving is powered by the region’s nonprofit information resource,
GivingEdge, which couples comprehensive organizational information with innovative giving tools. Donors who want to plan their giving ahead of the 24-hour challenge can review nonprofit profiles and schedule their gifts
online.
