On Aug. 1, animal shelters across the country celebrate DOGust, the universal birthday for shelter dogs whose exact birthdays are unknown. Since many shelter pets arrive without birth records, DOGust gives them all a special day to be recognized and celebrated.
To mark the occasion, Sacramento County Bradshaw Animal Shelter is waiving adoption fees for all dogs from Aug. 1 through Aug. 23.
Whether you're looking for an active walking partner, a family companion or a relaxed couch buddy, Bradshaw Animal Shelter has dogs of all ages, sizes and personalities ready for adoption.
Every adopted dog goes home:
