You might see them the next time you are out biking on the American River Parkway, under a pop-up tent with an A-frame sign in front that states, “Visitor Services Team” or possibly out riding a bike on the multi-use trail.

Teams of two are out and about on the American River Parkway in various locations to provide assistance to our Parkway visitors. “We are excited about this new program which started in July of this year,” said Jeff Leatherman, Director of Sacramento County Regional Parks. This team is staffed by our Park Ranger Assistants and will support Parkway visitors who may need directions, first aid or have questions about the Park system in general.”

The next time you are out on the Parkway and see them, be sure to stop by, say “Hello,” and introduce yourself.  The team will have water, information, directions and are there to be a helpful hand to our community on the American River Parkway.
Visitor Services Team:
Hours of operation: morning and afternoon 7 days per week.
Locations: Two teams of two, one team between Discovery Park and Watt Avenue and a second team from Watt Avenue to Hazel Avenue.
