The

The Community Workshop will be conducted virtually. Interpreters or reasonable accommodations are available upon request.
When: Oct. 19, 2021, from 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. (Sign on begins at 5:25 p.m.)
The JDTRC Community Workshop agenda will include:
- Opening remarks and introduction of JDTRC partners;
- Overview of the project timeline;
- Overview of available services;
- Overview of the website; and
- Public Question and Answer session.
In June 2020, the Board of Supervisors authorized the Sacramento County Probation Department to accept funding from the California Health Facility Financing Authority Community Services Infrastructure Grant Program for the purpose of
creating the JDTRC located at 711 G St. The close proximity of this location to the Main Jail and the Sacramento Superior Court will remove transportation barriers faced by the population to be served.
The overall vision of the project is to create an easily accessible community diversion and mental health treatment hub for individuals 18 years and older who are living with mental illness and/or co-occurring substance use disorder and/or those suffering from trauma and participating in the Misdemeanor Mental Health Diversion Program. The project will divert individuals from jail or prison and provide mental health, substance use disorder, and trauma-centered services, to also include referrals to community-based providers, contact with a probation officer, and legal advice from an attorney.
Partnering agencies include:
- Probation Department
- Behavioral Health Services
- Office of the Public Defender
- Superior Court of California, County of Sacramento
