The Sacramento County Health Center has once again been recognized for its exceptional contributions to community healthcare. For the second year in a row, the Health Center has been awarded three prestigious Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Community Health Quality Badges. This honor reflects the unwavering commitment of the Sacramento County Department of Health Services to providing high-quality, patient-centered care to our community.
"We are thrilled to receive these HRSA badges, which are a testament to the dedication of every staff member, provider, partner and volunteer involved in delivering exceptional care every day," said Tim Lutz, Director of the Sacramento County Department of Health Services. "This recognition reflects the significant strides we have made in improving healthcare outcomes, expanding access and reducing disparities across our community."
The HRSA Community Health Quality Badges celebrate the County’s outstanding performance in several key areas, improving healthcare outcomes, reducing health disparities and serving our community with the highest standards of care. To earn these badges, the Health Center demonstrated year-over-year advancements in healthcare delivery, technology integration and public health emergency responses.
Notably, the Health Center’s journey towards excellence has shown consistent progress. In 2022, the Health Center earned just one badge based on its 2021 performance. However, over the past two years, it has significantly enhanced its services,
earning three badges both last year and this year—making it one of the top Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) in the region.
The Sacramento County Health Center, a County-operated FQHC, serves low-income residents of Sacramento County, offering a wide range of services, including adult and pediatric primary care, behavioral health services, chronic disease management and more.
With the HRSA badges proudly displayed, the Health Center remains focused on its mission to continually improve healthcare services and ensure that every resident has access to quality care. This achievement highlights the Center’s commitment to serving the Sacramento community with compassion, excellence and innovation.
