Columbus Day weekend is one of the busiest travel holiday weekends of the year and the start of our busy holiday season at
Sacramento International Airport (SMF). Whether flying out or picking up loved ones, customers are encouraged to arrive early, anticipate delays and be prepared by checking
parking lot status on our website.
Prefer to let someone else drive? Ground transportation options include taxicabs, Yolo bus public transportation and
app-based ride services like Uber or Lyft.
If you are driving to the airport, we recommend you arrive at least two hours in advance of flight departure to allow time to park, check your bag and get through security stress free. The lines at ticket counters and security checkpoints may be longer than normal and please remember to wear your mask.
Unlike other parking options at SMF, the West Economy Lot is pre-pay by license plate. Customers will need to pay when they park by entering their license plate number at the pay station and providing electronic payment.
Shuttle service is provided to the East and West Economy Lots in 25-30 minute intervals.
Parking overnight at the Hourly B lot is not recommended, as is it designed – and priced – for people meeting and greeting passengers in Terminal B.
Coming from downtown Sacramento?
SacRT’s Route 142 Airport Express service is back. The Airport Express bus service offers trips between downtown Sacramento and the Sacramento International Airport every 30 minutes, seven days a week. Express bus service begins at 4:45 a.m. and operates until 11.29 p.m.
Traveling from Woodland? Take the YoloBus to SMF.
