BACKGROUND RESOURCES: The Sacramento County Methamphetamine Collaborative Workgroup (MCW) convened in 2016 to develop a cross-system strategy and response to methamphetamine use in Sacramento County. There were 27 key stakeholders from methamphetamine impacted systems that participated in the MCW. The MCW determined multiagency indicators, collected and analyzed data, discussed impacts and available resources and developed a baseline report and strategic plan.
The Sacramento County Methamphetamine Coalition aims to continue to inform and administer the Strategic Plan and coordinated response to prevent methamphetamine use and overdose and treat people with stimulant use disorders. The coordinated effort with agencies across the County and State and community members impacted by methamphetamine will ensure effective implementation of the Strategic Plan goals.
