The Sacramento County Probation Department’s Reentry Community Partnerships (RCP) Unit will host its first Community Resource Fair on Wednesday, Sept. 23, at the Oak Park Community Center.
More than 60 community organizations and service providers are expected to participate, connecting Sacramento County residents, including individuals on probation and their families, with resources, services and opportunities available throughout the community. Location: Oak Park Community Center, 3425 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95817
Attendees will have an opportunity to connect directly with organizations providing services including:
- Employment and job training
- Education and vocational opportunities
- Housing and supportive services
- Health and wellness resources
- Legal assistance
- Financial resources
- Reentry and community-based support
- Other supportive services
Established in 2026, RCP was created to strengthen connections between Probation and community-based organizations and help individuals access services that support successful reentry. The unit coordinates referrals to providers throughout Sacramento County based on each individual’s identified needs and helps facilitate warm handoffs to appropriate resources.
Probation’s goal is to complement traditional probation supervision by helping individuals make meaningful connections to organizations that can address barriers and support successful reentry.
The Sept. 23 event is the first in a planned series of community resource fairs that will be held in communities throughout Sacramento County.
