The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office is renewing its request for the public’s assistance in identifying an unidentified adult male, who died in 2012. The decedent was found in the city of Wilton and was a victim of a homicide.
Visit the Coroner’s website for details of Case #12-1549.
Through the use of Forensic Genetic Genealogy (FGG), investigators have developed new information indicating that the decedent was of Guatemalan descent. Unfortunately, no additional investigative leads have been identified.
As part of our continued commitment to identifying the unidentified and providing answers to their families, the Coroner’s Office is revisiting and refreshing this investigation in an effort to generate new leads.
We are especially asking members of the Guatemalan community, both locally and beyond Sacramento County, to review and share the updated image. Someone may recognize him as a relative, friend, former coworker, neighbor, or community member who disappeared or lost contact with family.
The updated sketch of the unidentified man is a combination of human generated sketch, real photos of the decedent post-mortem collected by AI to create the most accurate version of the decedent.
If you have any information to the identity of this person, please contact the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office at 916-874-9320 or via email at DeputyCoroner@saccounty.gov.
