Sacramento County will host a virtual community webinar on Thursday, April 23, beginning at 5 p.m., to provide an update on its Jail System Master Planning project and gather input from residents.
Residents can register for the webinar in advance via Zoom.
The online session will be led by Deputy County Executive for Public Safety and Justice Eric Jones, who will share the latest progress on the County’s long-term planning efforts for its jail system. The presentation will also address key questions raised during a previous community listening session and a follow-up survey.
Community members will have the opportunity to participate in a live public comment period at the end of the webinar. Speakers will be invited to share their perspectives, with up to three minutes allotted per individual. Community members may also submit written comments ahead of time by emailing PSJA@saccounty.gov.
The listening session is part of Sacramento County’s Jail System Master Planning Process, led by the County, in partnership with consultant Health Management Associates (HMA). County leaders are seeking community input to inform planning decisions and identify opportunities for system-wide improvements.
