Due to the forecast of rain, the County, in partnership with First Step Communities, is activating its weather respite today, Friday, April 10, beginning at 2 p.m. through Monday, April 13, at 10 a.m. at the North A Shelter. Staff will continue to monitor the weather for needed extensions.
Anyone interested in using a respite center should call 2-1-1 to check capacity before traveling to the respite shelter.
North A Street Shelter, 1400 N A Street
- Opens Friday, April 10, at 2 p.m. through Monday, April 13 at 10 a.m.
- Capacity is limited to 25 guests and three pets at the shelter; pets must be crated at all times and leashed outside. Crates/leashes and dog/cat food are provided.
- Guests will receive a light breakfast, a bagged lunch and a warm dinner
