The Sacramento County Board of Supervisors voted 4–0 on Tuesday, Aug. 11, to reschedule the start of the Fiscal Year 2026‑27 Revised Recommended Budget hearings. Originally set to begin on Wednesday, Sept. 9, the hearings will now commence one day earlier, on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
The change ensures full participation by all Board members, because not all were able to participate on the original date. Along with the updated hearing schedule, the Board also approved a revision to its 2026 meeting calendar to reflect the new start date.
The shift follows the Board’s June 10 approval of the FY 2026‑27 Recommended Budget, which established the initial Sept. 9 hearing date. Staff recommended the adjustment to maintain a complete and inclusive budget deliberation process.
