The Sustainable Business Awards recognize businesses and organizations that are making a difference through sustainable practices and environmental leadership in the following categories:
- Green Design
- Environmental Changemaker
- Community Impact
- Eco-Innovation
The Business Environmental Resource Center (BERC), a program of Sacramento County's Office of Economic Development (OED), will host the annual Sustainability Business Awards event on Sept. 16 where award recipients will be recognized.
“Across Sacramento County, businesses and nonprofits are finding innovative ways to reduce waste, conserve resources and strengthen our communities,” said Director of the Office of Economic Development, Crystal Bethke. “These awards recognize organizations that are taking meaningful action and showing that sustainability can be both environmentally responsible and good for business.”
