The Sacramento County Department of Transportation (SacDOT) will be closing Prairie City Road between US 50 and White Rock Road starting Monday, Aug. 24 to perform pavement repairs. The project will be completed by Tuesday, Sept. 1.
The closures will run from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. While work is expected to occur during weekdays, construction on Saturday and Sunday (Aug. 29 and 30) may be necessary.
Drivers are urged to follow detour signs that will guide traffic around the closure. Drivers expecting to exit Highway 50 at Prairie City Road will need to take the East Bidwell Street exit and follow the detour signs.
