The Sacramento County Department of Transportation (SacDOT) will be closing a portion of Bradshaw Road, Vintage Park Drive, Elk Grove Florin Road and Gerber Road on Sunday, March 23, 2025, for the annual Sacramento Sikh Society’s Nagar Kirtan Parade.
SacDOT and the California Highway Patrol (CHP) will begin road closures along Bradshaw Road at 9 a.m. As the event proceeds along the route, the CHP will provide traffic control with rolling closures throughout the day.
The parade route will begin at the Sacramento Sikh Society Temple at 7676 Bradshaw Road, and proceed south on Bradshaw, then turn west onto Vintage Park Drive. The route will continue to Elk Grove Florin Road and turn north. The parade’s final leg will turn east onto Gerber Road toward Bradshaw Road and return to the Temple.
Each segment will close in both directions for two hours as the parade travels down the street. Bradshaw Road will close at the beginning of the parade, and again as the parade concludes with participants returning to the Sacramento Sikh Society Temple.
Drivers in the area should expect delays near the parade route.
