Grants Available for Projects That Protect Local Waterways

The Sacramento County Department of Water Resources (DWR) is offering grants of up to $2,500 to support school and community projects that help protect or improve creeks and rivers in the unincorporated areas of Sacramento County.

For over 20 years, DWR has funded a wide range of grant projects, including:

  • Creek and river clean-up events
  • Installation of eco-friendly landscaping
  • Field trips to learn about Sacramento’s watershed
  • Water quality monitoring projects
  • Pollution prevention campaigns

The application process is simple and straightforward, making it easy for schools and organizations to submit their proposals.
