Due to the forecast of heavy winds and possible rain this week the County, in partnership with First Step Communities, is activating its weather respite tomorrow, Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 4 p.m. through Thursday, Nov. 6 at 10 a.m. at the North A Shelter. Staff will continue to monitor the weather for needed extensions.
Anyone interested in using a respite center should call 2-1-1 to check capacity before traveling to the respite shelter.
North A Street Shelter, 1400 N A Street.
- Opens Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 4 p.m. through Thursday, Nov. 6 at 10 a.m.
- Pets are welcome (one per person, two per couple); they must be crated at all times and leashed outside. Crates/leashes and dog/cat food are provided.
- Guests will receive a light breakfast, a bagged lunch and a warm dinner
The City is also opening their weather respite center.

Closes: Thursday, Nov. 6 at 8 a.m.
