The Sacramento County Office of Emergency Services is warning residents living in the areas of Point Pleasant, Glanville Track, and Franklin Pond to prepare to leave the area now before roadways are cut off to leave the area.

Evacuation Warning Areas:

It is expected that the flooding from the Cosumnes River and the Mokelumne River is moving southwest toward I-5 and could reach these areas in the middle of the night.

In addition, the National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch across I-5, west to the Sacramento River, south to Walnut Grove and north to Elliot Ranch Road. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall and floodwaters on the Cosumnes River and the Mokelumne River may rapidly inundate locations.

Flash Flood Watch Areas:

Livestock in the affected areas should be moved to higher ground.

An evacuation center has been identified as Wackford Community Center, 9014 Bruceville Rd., Elk Grove, CA 95758.

Residents should not drive through standing water – turn around, don’t drown!

The situation is dynamic. Residents are advised to watch SacOES.org as well as Sacramento County on Facebook and Twitter for updates. For information on roadway closures, call Sacramento County 311.
