Due to the extreme heat coming early next week, Regional Cooling centers will open beginning Monday, August 14th extending to Wednesday, August 16th. Staff will continue monitoring the weather and any extensions will be made as necessary. Cooling centers will be open at the locations, dates, and times listed below. 2-1-1 and 211sacramento.org are the best resource for daily, updated information.

All community members are welcome. Pets must be on a leash or contained in an animal carrier at all times. The Cooling locations will operate at the following locations, dates, and hours:
DHA Service Center: 1725 28th Street, Sacramento, CA 95816
- Monday, August 14th through Thursday, August 17th - Offices are open to the public from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., extended hours for weather respite are 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
DHA Service Center: 5747 Watt Avenue, North Highlands, CA 95660

Outreach and Engagement Center
- 3615 Auburn Blvd.- 2 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday - Thursday (last closing Friday morning at 7 a.m.)
Sam and Bonnie Pannell Center
- 2450 Meadowview Rd - 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Thursday
SacRT will be providing vouchers for free rides to and from the cooling centers for this event. Riders can ride free with this flyer by printing, or showing on a digital device.
