UPDATE (12/8): Thanks to help from the public, the decedent has been positively identified, and his family has been notified.
The Sacramento County Coroner's Office is seeking the public's assistance in identifying an unidentified man.
On June 25, 2022, the decedent was found deceased in the bathroom at River Bend Park, located at 2300 Rod Beaudry Drive in the city of Rancho Cordova. The decedent was not known to the Rangers on scene. The cause of death was due to natural causes.
The decedent's age is estimated to be 45-60 years of age. He appears to be Hispanic. His height and weight are 198 pounds and 67 inches tall. He has brown eyes. He has short dark brown hair, it appears wavy/curly and is peppered (gray). There are no identifying marks, scars, or tattoos on the body. The decedent was likely unhoused.
The decedent was using the name Marvin Williams Sanchez-Lopez and Hector Guzman with various dates of birth associated with both names. His birthplace is listed as Mexico and Texas. The Sacramento County Coroner has been unable to determine his true identity.
