Sacramento Emergency Rental Assistance (SERA2) Program 

​Rent and Utility Assistance available to support income-qualified Sacramento County families. 

​In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency (SHRA), in partnership with the City and the County of Sacramento is offering emergency rent and utilities assistance for renters impacted by COVID-19. Sacramento County Ordinance

On Wednesday, March 25, 2020, the Sacramento County Board of Super​visors introduced an ordinance related to temporary prohibition of evicting residential tenants due to the impacts of COVID-19, also known as: “Sacramento County Emergency Renter Protection Act of 2020."

The Board adopted the ordinance on April 1. The effective date is May 1, 2020.
