Sacramento Emergency Rental Assistance (SERA2) Program
Rent and Utility Assistance available to support income-qualified Sacramento County families.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency (SHRA), in partnership with the City and the County of Sacramento is offering emergency rent and utilities assistance for renters impacted by COVID-19. Sacramento County Ordinance
On Wednesday, March 25, 2020, the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors introduced an ordinance related to temporary prohibition of evicting residential tenants due to the impacts of COVID-19, also known as: “Sacramento County Emergency Renter Protection Act of 2020."
The Board adopted the ordinance on April 1. The effective date is May 1, 2020.
